The journey in Albatroz just got even better — Patch 1.0.0.8 for PS5™ and Patch #10 for PC is now live! These updates bring several fixes, improvements, and additions to make your backpacking adventures smoother.

Albatroz Patch 1.0.0.8 (PS5):

Patch Notes:

  • Fixed broken LOD distances for many assets in the game.
  • Implemented a fix for the block in the coastal region when the player missed Serpi's camp.
  • Added more tutorials explaining how colder conditions increase hunger and warmer conditions increase thirst.
  • Reduced the intensity of Gelya's voice.
  • Fixed an issue where two scenes would overlap during Scene 8's sequence with the Forbidden Lands gatekeeper.
  • Improved the sequence "Goodbye, El Condor" in Scene 7, enhancing the visuals of everyone waving to Isla and Sence.
  • Fixed a bug in Scene 9 where Isla could be duplicated if players tried to sleep at a camp while her ankle was injured near the fire.
  • Fixed a bug where death-related dialogues could be interrupted by the "Rank Up" HUD animation, causing the game to break.
  • Increased the resolution for interactable text/icons in the game.
  • Applied a critical fix for the gas station in the passageway after the ritual, which was previously not functioning.
    Added an extra save point in the tower within the Forbidden Lands.
  • Increased ripple distance in the Forbidden Lands so players can see save points from farther away.
  • Improved the mountains level to prevent players from getting stuck while exploring.
  • Increased the likelihood of open weather in the mountains.

Albatroz Patch #10 (Steam):

  • Optimized memory usage in Scene 7, significantly reducing resource consumption to prevent crashes on lower-end machines.
  • Fixed the ranking name overlap issue on the travel journal page.
  • Corrected a problem where incorrect phrases from the travel journal would display.
  • Improved game flow in Scene 13, "The Silent City."
  • Fixed collision issues in secret towers that were discoverable throughout the world.
  • Resolved a black screen issue that could appear in certain scenarios during Scene 19.
  • Fixed corrupted collisions (invisible walls) caused by assets spawning in the player's path at:
    • The entrance to the last village,
    • The entrance to the forbidden lands, and
    • The "Death Road" in the snowy mountain region.
  • Fixed certain rocks that would throw the character upwards when attempting to climb them.
  • Added a loading icon during the end-game transitions.
  • Resolved an issue where the menu couldn't alternate between gamepad and mouse/keyboard inputs if the player spammed buttons from both input types.
  • Addressed minor issues and implemented additional optimizations and polishing for an improved gameplay experience.
  • Increased walking speed in specific terrains, such as tall grass, in the Forbidden Lands, to improve player movement.
  • Reduced the explorable area in the Forbidden Lands by removing empty open spaces, making exploration more focused and engaging.
  • Added an additional secret to discover in the Forbidden Lands, rewarding curious players.
