Get ready for a smoother journey with Truck Driver®: The American Dream Patch #22, now available on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. This latest update brings a variety of new features, improvements, and fixes to enhance your experience.

Patch #22 introduces a brand-new display option for improved picture clarity, along with updates to audio, the main menu map, and the weather system. It also includes console-specific updates for PS5™, PS5™ Pro, and Xbox Series X|S ensure the best performance possible.

All Platforms:

New Display Option for Picture Clarity:
A new display setting has been added, offering five different picture clarity options. The default setting provides a sharper image, while the "Original" setting maintains the image quality (IQ) of previous builds. Additionally, three more options enhance clarity even further. These new settings help improve the game's visuals in cases where upscaling technologies—TSR (PS5, Xbox Series X), TAAU (Xbox Series S), and PSSR (PS5 Pro)—struggle with the provided native rendering resolution, minimizing blurriness.
Updated Audio Mastering:
All changes are based on an overall default sound volume of 100 and an engine sound volume set to 19 (default). As a result:
- Turn signal and gear-shifting sounds are now more pronounced (higher volume).
- The overall sound mix has been improved, especially when using headphones or surround systems (players must select an appropriate sound profile from the options menu).
Main Menu Map Enhancements:
- Improved bloom effects.
- Added one more music track.
- A wolf has been added to one of the scenes.
Weather System Adjustments:
- Weather conditions now change when the player sleeps or is teleported to specific locations.
Improved Draw Distance for Mountains:
- The highest mountains in the game now load properly (in 99% of the situations), preventing pop-ins.
Traffic Vehicle Removal Effect:
- When traffic vehicles are removed from the game world, a specific visual effect is now applied.
Improved Water Rendering:
- Enhanced master material for all rivers in the game.
Dashboard Lighting Logic Updates:
- Two new lighting states have been added, based on the time of day and weather conditions.
New Unlockable Truck – El Grande:
- Now available in FtR at level 120.
- Players already above level 120 must level up one additional level to unlock the truck.
Mirror Wetness Logic Improvements:
- Mirror wetness now reacts more accurately to humidity levels.
- When the rain stops, if the player uses windshield wipers, windows dry significantly faster.

PS5 and Xbox Series X Only:

Improved shadows when using Performance Mode.
Enhanced image upscaling (TSR) in Fidelity Modes.

PS5 Pro Only:

Ray-Traced Reflections Inside the Cabin:
- New RT reflections improve realism by accurately reflecting the environment.
- Available only in Fidelity Modes on PS5 Pro.
Memory Management Enhancements:
- Improved memory management in Fidelity Modes, especially in memory-heavy locations.
