You won't have to wait any longer as the exciting Truck Driver®: The American Dream ‘Steering Wheel Support’ update is now available on Xbox Series X|S! Get ready to enhance your trucking adventures with a new level of immersion and realism, thanks to Steering Wheel Support for Logitech, Fanatec, Thrustmaster, and HORI, with more brands on the horizon. This update also includes a variety of new features and tons of bug fixes to ensure a smoother and more enjoyable journey on the road.

Updates

• Includes initial support for steering wheels on PlayStation 5 and Xbox platforms for the following wheel brands. Others might work as well, but haven't been tested:
  • Logitech
  • Fanatec
  • Trustmaster
  • HORI
• Added walking pedestrians in 5 more locations.
• Additional memory optimizations for PS5 and Xbox Series S.
• New "Freedom to Roam" missions.
• Dashboard lighting improvements.
• Traffic performance upgrades.
• Traffic behavior – some traffic is now set to stay on the highway.
• Added speed radars to fine players for going too fast (you can see cameras and police assets on the road).
• Added radar warning and speed signs.
• Emitter lighting update – significantly improved lighting in areas using emitter lighting.
• Added more than 100 light sources in the world.
• Numerous material, asset, and texture optimizations.
• Improved window reflections on the truck for improved visibility from the in-cabin camera.

Fixes

• Updated windshield wiper logic.
• Updated colliders for some traffic vehicles to improve collision behavior.
• Numerous environmental fixes.
• Fixed trailer spawners (hiding POI icon and indicator boxes when inactive).
• Various minor visual and behavior fixes (visibility of mission icons, teleportation when out of stamina, time skip duration fix...).
• Updated teleportation locations – the goal is to minimize cases where the truck is teleported onto a specific world asset or off the road.
• Fixed numerous guardrails causing players to get stuck and frame drops.
• Road and vegetation fixes.
• Static trailers and trucks no longer change lights in tandem with the main truck.
