Rotterdam, The Netherlands – April 1, 2018 – Today publisher SOEDESCO proudly announced that they’ll be the first party to ever publish video games outside of Earth’s atmosphere. Furthermore, they also announced their collaboration with the world’s leading company in commercial space travels. This allows programmers affiliated with SOEDESCO games to program at least twice as fast on their supercomputers.
Bas de Jonge, Marketing Manager at SOEDESCO about the newly found partnership: “I’m very happy that we’re finally able to publish our games in space. There’s a big untapped market outside of Earth’s atmosphere, which opens so many new possiblities. Now that we’ve got this strong collaboration, I’m confident that we’ll soon be able to send game designers into space as well. Productivity issues have always been a big holdback for game development for us on Earth. We hope that an isolated moon-based work environment will eliminate these issues. Right now we’re trying to tackle the whole ‘there’s no oxygen in space’ problem, but personally I don’t think that would be the biggest issue.”
Rumour has it that SOEDESCO is also considering changing their name into SPACEDESCO, but no official announcement has been made as of yet.
SOEDESCO will launch their first airship from their office’s backyard in Rotterdam next week. Local residents will be compensated with one free SOEDESCO game for a platform of choice.
